Non Medical Home Care Monitoring Systems
Your senior loved one can remain at home and stay protected with a non medical monitoring system
Comfort Keepers offers a number of added non medical home care safety measures for your loved one that you may want to look into. All of our home monitoring systems can be combined with our Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) for well-rounded protection of your loved one at home.
The non medical home care safety measures we offer are:
Window and Door Alarms
These are monitoring sensors for your loved one's windows and doors that are connected to landlines that already exist at the house. If an alarm is activated, a SafetyChoice® Centralized Monitoring Station representative will contact individuals according to instructions in your loved one's subscriber's responder list.

Bedside Pressure Mats and Motion Detectors
Comfort Keepers special bedside pressure mats and motion detectors were designed specifically keeping in mind seniors prone to falling. Considering the fact that a majority of emergency room visits by seniors are the direct result of a fall, it's no wonder we decided to develop a way to help elders stay safe and independent with assistance from non medical home care devices. Our bedside pressure mats are activated when a large and sudden amount of pressure is applied to the mat. This activates the mat and alerts representatives in our around-the-clock monitoring center.

Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Carbon monoxide is a dangerous gas and can cause a number of health issues like headache, confusion, and depression, and can even result in death. Thankfully, with our SafetyChoice carbon monoxide detectors, your loved one will be in safe hands.
Both our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors work by setting off an alarm and contacting the SafetyChoice Centralized Monitoring Station. Representatives there immediately alert the local fire department and other emergency professionals.
